Crafts on sale at Rauma Silakkamarkkinat market.

The Rauma Baltic Herring Fair will be held at Kanalinranta from September 21 to 22. The event will cause changes to traffic arrangements in the city centre from Thursday September 19.

Kanavakatu and Kanalinranta will be closed to vehicle traffic between Lyseokatu and Kalliokatu on Thursday September 19 from 6 PM. A parking ban will also be in force starting at the same time.

Driving from Alfredinkatu to Kaija will be prohibited from 8 AM on Friday September 20. Driving is permitted on the properties on Alfredinkatu.

The above restrictions and bans will remain in force until Sunday September 22 at 8 PM.

Fair visitors can park their cars in temporary parking areas such as Tehtaankatu, Hallikatu and Savila 24 hour parking areas or Rauma City Hall parking area. There are also several time-limited parking spaces in the city area.

The sand field in Parpansali Park is reserved for parking the vehicles of market vendors.

The fair is open on Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM and on Sunday from 9 AM to 4 PM. For more information about the fair, visit raumareimari.lions.fi/silakkamarkkinat (in Finnish).
