Tammela’s Elf Land is filled with Christmas magic

Tammela’s Elf Land enchants visitors from November 23, 2024, to January 1, 2025, at Eteläpitkäkatu 17. The illuminated courtyard of Elf Land is open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM. Tammela offers festive programs and activities for all ages.
– The illuminated courtyard can be admired even outside event days. This year, Elf Land provides a variety of activities, especially hands-on crafting experiences. Tammela’s Elf Land is the result of collaboration between many contributors, says Krista Mård, the coordinator of Christmas in Lace Town.
Saturdays, November 23–December 21, 10 AM–3 PM
Visitors can enjoy the Gingerbread Café and Christmas decoration swap market. Elves guide children on elf-themed tours and puzzle-solving adventures. Storytime sessions hosted by Väinö Riikkilä Society will take place at 1 PM, 1:30 PM, 2 PM, and 2:30 PM. Santa Claus will be present in Tammela on Saturdays from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. The Coin Workshop operates from 12 PM to 1 PM.
Wednesdays, November 23–December 21, 5:30 PM–7:30 PM
Elves are on duty, and the Gingerbread Café and Christmas decoration swap market are also open during this time.
Tammela also features a miniature house, Pikku-Tonttula, created by skilled artisans Jonna Pesu and Tiina Arppe. Visitors are invited to search for tiny lost items from Pikku-Tonttula that have been scattered around Elf Land.
Craft Workshops for Children and Adults
School-aged children can participate in guided light star crafting workshops on Saturdays, November 23–December 21, from 1 PM to 2:30 PM. Pre-registration is required via email at kaik@luanista.fi. The participation fee is 10 €, and the children’s workshops are led by Suvi Lamminen.
This year, Elf Land also offers craft workshops for adults. Wooden decorative star workshops will be held on December 4 and 11 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Each workshop accommodates a maximum of 10 participants, and the participation fee is 15 €. Pre-registration for the star workshops, organized by Somakoti Sisustus, is required via email at somakotisisustus@gmail.com.
The implementation of Tammela’s Elf Land is managed by Luanista Oy. The events in Elf Land also feature contributions from Suvi Lamminen, Päivi Aaltonen, Somakoti Sisustus & Suunnittelu, the Alyssa group from Rauma Women’s Gymnastics Club, Väinö Riikkilä Society, and artisans Jonna Pesu and Tiina Arppe.
