Renovation Centre Tammela
Tammela house introduces UNESCO World Heritage and renovation of Old Rauma. Tammela organises events regarding world heritage and traditional construction, and houses different cultural events. A bank of spare parts, where spare parts for old timber buildings are recycled, is a part of the house of Tammela. There is also a workshop on the property where residents can do woodwork.
Old Rauma has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a unique example of a preserved historic Nordic wooden town. In applying for World Heritage status, Rauma has committed itself to ensuring that Old Rauma remains alive and inhabited for future generations, but also preserves its cultural heritage value. Delivering on that promise requires special skills in the management of the built environment and in conservation and restoration.

Events and activities
Old Rauma is a splendid unity during each season. Old Rauma is valuable because of its cultural history but it is nothing like a dusty museum. It is the centre of activity.
