History

Henrik Sonck is mentioned as the owner of the Lakari plot in 1756. In 1800 the plot was divided in two. Plot number 25 was owned by the former bourgeois Anders Lind. He had a field, a share of the reef and a barn.

Fire insurances

Fire insurance for the buildings on the site was taken out in 1885 by the sailor Isak Grönlöf. There was a main building on the plot, which was a gabled building along Isopoikkikikatu and on the northern boundary of the plot, and an outbuilding on the western boundary. The main building was in good condition, partly old, partly of later construction, boarded up and painted in red watercolour. The roof was tiled. There were two halls, a pantry, a baker’s pantry and a hallway with two cupboards. There were three tiled ovens, with a masonry iron stove attached to the baking oven. The exterior of the building was in good condition, unplanked, but painted with red paint. The building contained a barn with a barn barn and a stable. The roof was boarded. Also insured were the driveway gate and fences, which were painted red.

Modification drafts

The modification drawing for the buildings on the plot dates from 1907 and was drawn up by Leonard Ahti. There is a semi-detached house with an entrance hall, kitchen and pantry along Isopoikkikatu. In the courtyard wing there is a kitchen with a baking oven and one living room. A separate office was added to the wing. There were attic chambers at both ends of the building, which were not heated. At the end of the courtyard is an outbuilding which contained a barn, a latrine, two sheds and a dormitory. The street façade is lined with horizontal boarding and the T-shaped windows have Art Nouveau-style panelling. The gateway is also Art Nouveau in style.

In 1975 a sauna was built on the site of the barn and one of the sheds.
