History

The plot is part of the original Tornjainen plot, the western and eastern parts of which were separated in the second half of the 20th century. Of the buildings included in the 1894 fire insurance policy, the outbuilding, greenhouse and cellar were located on this part of the plot.

Fire insurance and modification drafts

The residential building and outbuilding on the Turun maantie side of the plot were the old buildings. In 1985, the residential building was renovated. Two apartments were left, which were equipped with modern washrooms and kitchens. In 1987, the old building was renovated into a pottery and a potter’s showroom. The former cattle sheds and latrines were left as sheds. An old-style fence and gate were built on the roof in 1999. The plans for the renovation phase were drawn up by Jukka Koivula.
