History

In 1800, the house called Little Sonki was owned by 191 bourgeois Anders Fondén. He owned more than a barrel of arable land and a barn and a share of a shed. His debts exceeded the mortgage value of the house.

Fire insurances

Fire insurance was taken out in 1878. The house was then owned by Erika W. Sjöroos, the daughter of a sailor. According to the insurer’s estimate, it had not been very long since the dwelling had been built. In the same year it was boarded up and painted with yellow oil paint. The roof was made of boards. There were five rooms, a hall, two chambers, a loft and a hallway. The building included a covered staircase. There were three tiled stoves and a baking oven with an iron stove. There was a vaulted cellar under the building.

The exterior building is of log construction, old but in good condition. It is not planked or painted and has a boarded roof. The building contained a barn, stables, two paddocks and a shed for storing food. A smaller gate for pedestrians was attached to the driveway. The gate was painted with yellow oil paint.

Modification drafts

In 1940, the building underwent a fireplace conversion. The floor plan shows that the building is a semi-detached house. The large room had a baking oven. The main chamber had a tiled stove in the corner of the room, as did the main cellar chamber across the hall. The small hall chamber was to be converted into a kitchen.

In 1968, a new gate was built on the site. Like the previous one, the gate was closed and ended in a triangular end. What was new was the width of the gate that the car could drive through. The gate was planked with narrow horizontal boarding, and both a pedestrian gate and a post hatch were added. In 1975, a sauna was built at one end of the outbuilding. The old wood room and storerooms were converted into a locker room, washroom, dressing room and drying room.
