Modification drafts

The buildings on the southern part of the plot are shown on the site plans accompanying the modification drawings for the northern part. On the southern half, there was a residential building on the southern boundary of the property, along the river. It had a wing that followed the western boundary of the property. There was a porch on the corner. The outbuilding was on the eastern boundary of the plot, with a small toilet block at the end.

The modification drawing of the buildings in the southern half of the building dates from 1913 and was made by Arvi Leikari. Before the planned alteration, there was a residential building on the site with four rooms, a hall and a porch along the river. On the west wing of the boundary was a baker’s shop and a room. Now they wanted additional space in the dwelling. It was extended with a room facing the river, and it was desired to divide the building into more apartments. There were three kitchens, and the baking oven was abandoned. New porches were built in front of the entrances. The building was given an Art Nouveau lining. The new outbuilding was shorter than the old one. The old outbuilding was demolished to make way for the main building.

The buildings on the site had disappeared when plans were made in 1984 to move an old log building onto the site. In the end, it turned out that the building that was to be moved was too dilapidated and a new one was built. However, Markus Bernoulli’s design follows the shape and proportions of the building to be moved. The windows are six-paned, the walls are boarded with vertical sheeting and painted in red brick. The building has a tiled roof. A small outbuilding was also built in the courtyard and a high gateway along the river.
