History

According to the fire insurance document of 1885, there was still an unbuilt plantation between the Pajala and Priia plots, which extended from Kauppakatu to the Fiilar plot. Later, the site appears on the drawings as potato land.

Modification drafts

There is a drawing from 1886 showing a plan to build a salt warehouse along Kauppakatu. From the street side, the flat-roofed wooden building is like part of a high, horizontal-framed fence with double doors in the wall. The area is referred to as a garden in the application.

In 1927, Kaino Kari designed a 1 ½-storey residential building on Kauppakatu between the Pajala and Priia plots. In 1973, the premises were converted into social rooms, changing rooms and a dining room for the cooperative. In 1984, the building was converted back into residential use, and the attic was also converted into living quarters. In addition, a small outbuilding was built on the site of the original latrine and woodshed. The building has its own plot of land.
