Head to the shore of Syväraumanlahti and explore the area from above! The lookout tower called Kiikartorni offers stunning views of the sea and the small boat harbor of Syväraumanlahti. Free entry.

Kirsti, sailor’s home museum
Open throughout the Lace Week 10.00–17.00, Fri 26.7. 10.00–19.00
The buildings and yard of the Kirsti Museum are representative of construction in the 18th century and in the early 19th century. Opportunity to see lace-making daily 10.00-17.00.

Kodisjoki Church and Warehouse museum

Kodisjoki church was built in 1906 and its designer and draftsman was Johan F. Lindegren, an organist from Rauma. The church is a bright and peaceful, atmospheric country church with the opportunity to contemplate. The guide is there to tell the history of the church. Free entry.
The museum is located next to the church. The artefacts used in agriculture and homes of the past come from Kodisjoki.

Lappi Regional Museum
Open during the Lace Week on Sundays 10.00–15.00
A former storehouse, church stables, and the Jokinen house are all situated on the same hill. The storehouse displays old rustic items, weapons, photographs and miniatures. The exceptional church stables built in the early 20th century showcase agricultural equipment, machinery and smith’s tools, whereas the Jokinen house exhibits household goods, wartime items and commodities of an old shop. Lönnström Art Museum
Teresia and Rafael Lönnström’s Home museum is closed for renovations in 2024. Despite the renovation, the museum has many places to visit during the Lace Week.
Branch Office is open Wed-Fri 12.00–16.00 and Sat 11.00–15.00
During the renovation museum is temporarly located in Old Rauma. At the Branch Office, visitors can access latest information about the museum and the Lönnström Projects. In July and August, you can also borrow a bicycle from the Branch Office to explore routes that include the Conversation Park and Floating Island.

Conversation park: Conversation park – a public space game is a work of community art that was created by 21 Rauma residents of different ages. In the project, they planned and built a public park. Conversation park is a public space that everyone is free to visit. Enjoy the scenery, have a barbeque around an open fire or participate in a hobby horse race.

Floating Island: Raimo Saarinen’s Floating Island is a large environmental artwork sited at sea. Floating Island is anchored in the Otanlahti bay. The work can be viewed from many places along the bay and its beaches, and is closest to the shore between the Fåfänga Pavilion and Merikylpylä saunas.

Marela, Home museum of merchant and shipowner families
Open throughout Lace Week 10.00–17.00, Fri 26.7. 10.00–19.00
Marela presents the living and lifestyle of a wealthy Rauma shipowner family during the heyday of Rauma’s sailing ship maritime in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
On display are the Life of Marela celebration exhibition and the Let’s Have a Wedding! exhibition, which showcases wedding memories, traditions, and treasures from the museum’s collections. Also, opportunity to see lace-making daily 10.00-17.00. From the Museum Shop Kistupuadi, you can find local handicrafts and souvenirs.

Muina Homestead Museum

You can explore and learn about life in the past at this rustic and charming location. Sheep from ‘Ali-Unkin tila’ farm, located in Eurajoki, are grazing the pastures.

The home and workshop museum of potter Gustaf Löfman, presenting housing and pottery from the 1900s–1930s. Free entry.

Rauma Art Museum

At the Rauma Art Museum, exhibitions by Jarmo Mäkilä titled ‘Boy’ and ‘Venetian Lace’ are on display. Additionally, at Gallery Store, located at Hakunintie 8, during Lace Week, Jarmo Mäkilä’s ‘Saint Sarah’ series will be exhibited. Mäkilä’s satellite exhibitions are also on display simultaneously at Kirkonkellari (Matrix Hardcore) and at the Prisma shopping center (Abandoned).

Rauma Maritime Museum
Open throughout the Lace Week 11.00–17.00
The Rauma Maritime Museum is located in the former Rauma Maritime school, which was completed in 1900. It exhibits the rich seafaring traditions in Rauma, focusing not only on ships but also on the lives of sailors.
The theme exhibition, “Maritime City Rauma,” offers a diverse collection of examples that illustrate how the image of Rauma’s maritime identity – and uniqueness – has been constructed and maintained. In the museum’s second-floor staircase, exhibition showcases provide a compact guide to tracing traces of the past from various archival sources and databases.

Renovation Centre Tammela
Open throughout the Lace Week 11.00–17.00, closed on Mondays
Tammela house introduces UNESCO World Heritage and renovation of Old Rauma. Tammela organises events regarding world heritage and traditional construction, and houses different cultural events. A bank of spare parts, where spare parts for old timber buildings are recycled, is a part of the house of Tammela. There is also a workshop on the property where residents can do woodwork. Free entry.

The Church of the Holy Cross

The Church of the Holy Cross is a medieval stone church where you can stop by to explore, contemplate, or even attend a midday music moment. Midday music moments from Monday to Thursday 22.-25.7. at 12.00 , and on Friday 26.7. at 12.00 there will be a Folk Song Church.

The Old Rauma Telephone Museum
Open throughout the Lace Week 11.00–19.00
The museum tells the history of telephones with its collection from its origins in the 1870s to the present day. The museum displays devices and equipment from 1870 to the present day. Some of the phones can be tried out. Free entry.

Ylen Art House
Open throughout the Lace Week 12.00–16.00
Art House Ylen is located in Rauma, in a village called Kodisjoki. This art house was the residence of ITE-artist Väinö (1908-2000) Ylen and his wife Hilma (1911-1991). The exhibition features human and animal figures made of plaster and concrete by Väinö Ylen engaged in various everyday activities (approximately 500 sculptures). Additionally, the art home have visiting artists: Marjo Yli-Antola (pastel and acrylic paintings, themed on Garden), Marja Lehto (teddy bear exhibition, approximately 300 collectible teddy bears), Marja Malinen (ceramics, wire works), visiting artist Taru-Taina Nora (including facial sculptures).
